Frequently Asked Questions
Service Details
How far in advance should I book?
You can book as close as a few days before your event, though most clients reserve their dates 4–6 weeks in advance. Availability varies, especially during the holidays, so booking early is always encouraged.
What size events do you accommodate?
I work with groups from 6 to 50 guests, with most dinner parties averaging around 12 people.
Do you offer set menus or custom options?
Yes! I offer curated set menus that make planning simple, but I’m also happy to create a custom menu if you’d prefer something more personal.
How long does a typical dinner party last?
I usually arrive 1–2 hours before your guests to prep. Dinner service lasts about 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the number of courses, and cleanup is typically finished within 30–60 minutes after the meal.
Pricing & Payment
How is pricing determined?
Dinner parties are priced per person, based on your chosen menu. Set menu pricing is listed on the Menu page; for custom menus, please contact me for a quote.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date, and the remaining balance is due no later than the day of the event.
Do you confirm details before the event?
Yes — about 72 hours before your dinner, I’ll call to confirm the final guest count, menu, timing, and any last-minute details or dietary needs.
Logistics & Requirements
What are your kitchen requirements?
I ask that your kitchen be clean and ready for use, and I prefer to have the space to myself during prep time. Please let me know in advance if any appliances are not working (such as a burner or oven), so I can plan accordingly. We’ll discuss your available equipment early in the planning process.
Do you bring your own cookware or serveware?
I bring all the cookware I need for the evening. I typically use the client’s plates, glassware, and utensils — but I can arrange rentals if needed.
What areas do you serve?
I currently serve Boulder, Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, and Denver.
Do you handle cleanup?
Yes — I clear plates, silverware, and glasses, load the dishwasher, and leave the kitchen as clean as (or cleaner than) when I arrived. Occasionally, a few glasses may remain if guests are still enjoying the evening.
Cancellations & Special Requests
What is your cancellation policy?
There is a $100 fee for cancellations after your date is held. Cancellations within two weeks of the event incur a $250 fee, and cancellations within 72 hours are nonrefundable. Depending on availability, I’m happy to reschedule your dinner at no extra charge.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. I’m happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions and preferences — just let me know during the planning process.
Can you serve alcohol?
I’m happy to serve any alcohol you provide and can guide you on wine pairings or cocktail ideas to complement your menu.
